My deep-rooted love for horses and photography means that your photoshoot will be a relaxing experience. I pride myself on how each and every client is quickly put at ease and becomes a friend. Us horse lovers are all cut from the same cloth after all.
Creating beautiful images that you will treasure for the rest of your life isn’t as difficult as you may think. All we need is a horse, yourself and some smiles. Honestly. You can leave the rest up to me.
I am a specialist equine photographer; this means that I know how to take photographs of horses inside out. At some point I have seen it all; horses fidgeting, having a quick scooby snack and just deciding they are done with the shoot. Guess what? These horses’ owners still got beautiful and timeless images that they love.
How it works
We will start by having a stroll around the yard whilst getting to know each other. You can show me any locations you’d like to shoot in and I can work out a location plan for us. Before we start the shoot, a horsey cuddle is imperative. We will then move on to one of my favourite parts, what to wear! We will have a look at any outfits that you have brought with you. Then the fun begins! We usually spend about 60 minutes shooting, depending upon the horse.
Once we have had our photoshoot and pony cuddles, I take the images home and back them up multiple times, no losing images here! I hand edit the best ones, which is usually between 50-80 images. You will then receive an email with a link to your online gallery and you can take as long as you like to view your gorgeous images. Included in the traditional equine portrait session is a complementary mounted print of your favourite image.
Once you have viewed them and shared them with your family, you then get to decide how you would like your images. This is possibly the toughest part of the shoot. I offer different products to display your images; digitals, prints, framed prints and canvases. If you’re unsure on what you’d like to order, I would be very happy to do an in person viewing session where I can guide you on these decisions.
